Dangus Kahn and the Tornaodoes, born of three JMU freshmen, came to be within 2 months of the college students' exciting new lives. The pact was sealed between Will, Brad and Dan when Dan carried his electronic beatkit across campus to Will and Brad's dorm. From there, the 3 worked like machines, cranking out material and annoying the hell out of dormmates with incesant practicing.
They soon gained recognition in Harrisonburg as a goofy, high-powered litany of epic guitar solos, hammering basslines, and crash-happy drumming. The local campus hangout became their mainstay. It wouldn't be long though before Will's keen eye for design and Brad's knack for business would land them some great exposure in the area and beyond. Junior year came upon them and with the addition of Aaron Spring on saxophone, the band set out to make a solid mark in the VA music scene.
mission accomplished.
Brad frost began playing bass his freshman year at Oil City High School in
Oil City, PA. He started out in the punk rock scene, but slowly cultivated
a taste for the likes of Led Zeppelin and The Beatles. Years later and
several musical styles later, Brad has developed a unique style of bass
playing, which usually incorporates his 6 string bass.
Aside from playing bass and sharing vocal duties for Dangus Kahn, Brad is interested in web design (this site), live sound, recording, video and multimedia production. He got back into aggresive rollerblading after a 6 year lapse, and juggles chainsawas at charity events. He has a wonderful girlfriend and family.

He was born in Philadelphia, lived most of his life in Annandale, NJ, and
now resides in St. Michaels, Maryland! His valued possessions include his
axe and rig, his brown beanie, and his '73 VW Bus, even thought it gives
him lots of trouble. This tornado handles guitars and vocals in the band,
and also tends to get his picture in the paper a lot! His guitar playing
has been described as "sourcery," "wizardry," and "nice" and he destroys
emcees and bands alike when he busts out. He is a good guy, so say hello
if you see him around.

Born Daniel Gus Kahn to a family of diplomats and wanderers in Sante Fe,
New Mexico, Dan came on the Dangus scene green and ready to play. Having
lived overseas for the better part of his upbringing, the final 3 years
spent in a Northern Virginia high school were a veritable crash course
in American culture. True though he had lived a good 4 years in Faifax
as a child, a lot had changed. The 8 years spent fishing for pirahna in
the Amazon river and rommaging through the ruins of ancient civilizations
can change one's perspective.
Fortunately, as demanding as Fairfax can be, it certainly facilitated his newly discovered passion for music. With a year of drum tetelage under his belt and the kinetic ring of 90's alternative in his ear, he joined his first band with his friends and started paving the highway to rock and roll. He still remembers the excitement of his first show and the comaraderie he shared with his high school rock buddies. Moving on to JMU, he kept the spirit but changed the sound with newfound friends guitarist Will and bassist Brad. Today he can be found studying in the library, keeping in touch with his friends from all over the world, relaxing with a friendly game of Mario Kart, making up words and jokes to his friends' amusement or customizing his beatkit, always searching for the crucialest setup.

Aaron "Chedder" Spring lived on the other side of the country in California
until a group of traveling nudist anarchists puruaded him to take his sweet
sweet saxophone sound on the road with them. 31 states, 14 months, and
7 diseases later, he found himself abandoned on the streets of Charlottesville,
VA. After making enough money playing saxophone on the streets (nude),
he was adopted by a genial nun, who spoon-fed him back to health and prepared
him to cope with the real world.
The nun got him a scholarship to JMU, where he studied music (not nude) and became involved in the local music scene. He began playing with several other JMU students who collectively called themselves Graywater Stills. After a successful but short run, the band called it quits. This sax player needed a home, literally, and ended up shacking with the Dangus boys. The rest, as they say, is history.
